Cultural relevance follows attention, solely. Attention follows available meaning. Meaning is tied to semantic qualities of the message; correlated to [de]coding capabilities of interlocutors; knowledge. Environments envelope messages. AI has critically accelerated iteration speed in the architecture that governs our species’ communicative fabric. This revolutionary paradigm provokes fascinating effects on all things creativity-related. Output volume for traditional mediums is dwarfing next to the infectious shareable plasticity that AI will continue to bring to the arts. The reason to be of art is also in a quick flux. These machine-minds can inspire and be inspired.
Tomorrow’s masterpieces will come in shapes formed in the warring creativity necessary to maintain harmony between human & machine thought. The communicative mediums that will sprout will be far from today’s grasp; culture-product markets will shift completely. I’m looking to mix with others that want to bring forth these new shapes for art, ever-capable introspection systems pushing the membrane of technique, allowing unprecedented levels of mastery over imprinting our environment with meaning; I want my hands in the hardest impact formats.
Art lets me learn what others are, what other things are there, in the other minds. To attain a real sense of otherness, machines also need to reflect on who others are & how they project the world, it’s principal to sustainable coexistence. To create is to dream artificially… to create together is to coexist in a dream.
